The idea is that if you want something big, you'll probably have to undertake a journey to get it. Looked at another way this is a response to someone who wants something big and outrageous. If that's what you want, don't bother me, go to India.

Note to the wise: this proverb works best if you aren't already in India or anywhere else where elephants reside.

And about that word "zoomorphic": it means calligraphy in the shape of an animal.
